NPower Student Works

I joined the US Air Force after high school, and after Basic Training and Tech School, I spent the next five years at Minot AFB in North Dakota. After my military service ended, I enrolled at the University of Texas and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.

I worked for several different companies and various languages with my last job being the primary developer for a pharmacy software application created in the mid-1980s and written in Basic. I spent seventeen years in that job, and since Basic is not a “modern” language, then the world passed me by during that time. The company got bought out, and the programming staff was laid off.

I have found myself in a world where my language skills are not what the market is looking for. I found out about NPower through a friend and recognized the opportunity NPower provides for me to add to my skills and help me relaunch my career. The classes and personal development skills offered by NPower are merely outstanding.
